Ismail Arda Odabaşı completed his undergraduate studies in International Relations at Gazi University between 1992-1996. He then pursued a master's degree in Radio, Television, and Cinema at Marmara University from 1996-2000. Subsequently, he completed his doctoral studies in the same field at Marmara University between 2000-2006, earning a Ph.D. in Communications. He received his associate professorship in the field of communication studies in 2014. Since  2021, he has been serving as a Professor at Ibn Haldun University. He also holds the position of Head of the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema.
